Jeff Forney, Founder & Host - Jeff has an extensive background in baseball contributing over 25 years of playing and coaching experience.  Following his career with the Cincinnati Reds organization, he coached at all levels including University of Notre Dame, Arizona State University, and the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks.  Jeff possesses a degree in exercise science and physiology and is recognized as a leader in the baseball instructional field with books, videos and websites devoted to his passion for the game of baseball.  He currently owns and operates his own training company, Triple Threat Inc., offering private hitting instruction, group baseball strength and conditioning, and runs camps, clinics and leagues.  Jeff will be your host and guide to Baseball Player University while sharing his knowledge of hitting, strength and conditioning, and nutrition.  Jeff’s commitment to baseball excellence and the desire to see the game prosper and grow resulted in his development of BPU.
Pat Murphy - 'Murph' is one of the most successful collegiate coaches in the nation.   In his 11th year as the Head Coach of the Arizona State University Sun Devils, he continues to set the standard for baseball excellence.  Among his many accolades, he won the Baseball America Coach of the Year in 1998, and in 2000 he won the Pac-10 conference coach of the year.  Pat began his coaching career in 1983 in Maryville, Tennessee.  He made his mark, though, when he took over the University of Notre Dame program in 1988.  During the seven years he coached there, his Fighting Irish won at least 45 games each season and garnered national rankings, conference titles, and NCAA tournament appearances.  He took over as ASU head coach in 1995 where he continues to set records.He is 360-178-1 and has led the Devils to the NCAA Tournament in four straight years and six of the last seven. He owns an all-time 28-20 record in NCAA Tournament action as a head coach and is 19-12 in postseason play at ASU. His coaching accomplishments include becoming the youngest collegiate coach to reach 500 career victories (with 75 percent of the wins at the Division I level).  We are excited and privileged to have Pat providing his coaching wisdom and insight at Baseball Player University.  His dynamic personality and coaching skills will be invaluable to our program.
Dave Burba - Dave brings 15 years of MLB pitching experience to Baseball Player University.  A native of Ohio he attended Ohio State University and began his MLB pitching career with the Seattle Mariners in 1990 as a 2nd round draft pick.  Following time with San Francisco and then Cincinnati, he became instrumental to Cleveland’s 1998 playoff appearance.  He completed his pitching career in 2005.  Dave brings a wealth of knowledge regarding all aspects of pitching and we look forward to his involvement with BPU.
Kevin Lawrence - President & CEO of BioNutritional Research Group, Kevin is a former IFBB World Bodybuilding Champion and a renowned speaker and writer on exercise physiology and applied nutrition. He lives in Orange County, California, with his family where he has been a product formulator for over two decades and currently oversees day-to-day operations of BNRG. Over the years, Kevin has worked with hundreds of athletes and other individuals, developing individualized training and nutrition programs. Through this experience, Kevin has developed the following philosophy: "Performance equals training plus nutrition plus recovery: P=T+N+R.
Jim Murphy - In baseball the mental aspect is key to achieving overall baseball success, and Jim Murphy is a nationally recognized leader in the field of mental preparation and conditioning for baseball.  Jim holds an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Masters Degree in Human Kinetics.  He is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Association for the Advancement of Applied Psychology.   But it is his baseball background that gives him the edge in teaching mental preparation and excellence in the game.  He played at both the collegiate and professional baseball levels finishing his career with the Chicago Cubs organization.  Jim has authored several articles and books, and has traveled the country speaking on winning and developing champions.  He currently runs Murphy Athletic Performance where he trains elite athletes to peak performance. Baseball Player University will cover all the bases by having Jim offer his expertise on how to merge mind and body for the complete baseball athlete.
Andy Stankiewicz - Baseball Player University is privileged to have former MLB player Andy Stankiewicz as our infield instructor.  Andy began his MLB career as a middle-infielder with the New York Yankees in 1992 after being a standout baseball player at Pepperdine University.  Following stints with Houston, Montreal and Arizona, he made his final MLB appearance in 1998 with the California Angels.  He currently scouts for the Yankees organization.  Andy will offer insight and instruction on what it takes to become a consistent and successful infielder.
